If there is reference data(Figure 11), auto edit is used where end points of a polyline are selected as well as its match and then the selected polyline is replaced with the corresponding one. Figure 12 shows manual edit process. Heads-up editing is conducted with digital orthophotos in the background using  ArcView editing tool.
